3 Common Cardio Myths Explored

Cardio Exercises

When it comes to losing weight and building muscle there are many things you hear about cardio. Some people say you need to do it everyday for at least an hour while others say you need to do it early in the morning on an empty stomach. With this article I am going to tell you the truth about cardio. Here are 3 myths that are utter nonsense.

Myth #1 – The first myth that I am sure you have heard a million times is that you have to do cardio early in the morning on an empty stomach. I personally don’t know of any studies that say you will lose weight faster if you do cardio early in the morning with no food in your stomach. At the end of the day you have to do it when it works best for you. The time of day really doesn’t matter.

Myth #2 – The second myth is that you have to do at least 20 minutes of cardio before you start burning fat. I’m not sure who came up with this but it is absolutely false. You burn fat all the time. You don’t have to go 20 minutes before you start burning fat. You can actually get a total fat burning workout in just 20 minutes if you use interval training.

Myth #3 – The last myth is that you have to do cardio everyday. This is not true. Depending on your goals, you can do just fine with doing cardio for 45 minutes 3-4 times a week. You don’t have to overdo it to get good, visible results.
